OUR LADY OF SORROWS CHAPLET
Also known as the Chaplet of the Seven Dolours, this is a devotion instituted in the thirteenth century, in honor of the sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is composed of seven sets of seven round black beads with each set separated by a picture medal with one of the seven principal sorrows on it. Recitation of this chaplet is a beautiful and efficacious practice.
