ST. BENEDICT WALL CRUCIFIX - CHERRY
In the mid-1600's, devotion spread to the Cross of St.Benedict and a medal was made to honor him as he was considered a secure defense against the tricks of Satan. The honor of being featured on the medal was conferred to him because of the miracles of the cross in his hands. This crucifix is made of cherry. It has a silver corpus and a large St. Benedict medal. Measures 10 1/2".
