SUPPER AT EMMAUS FRAMED ARTWORK
This stunning canvas transfer depicts the moment when the disciples recognized Jesus after the Resurrection: "When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight." (Lk 24:30-31). The original was painted by Trophime Bigot in the 17th century. Because of his beautiful use of light in his works, Bigot is also known as the Candlelight Master. The canvas transfer is displayed in an ornate crackle look frame and measures 21" x 25 1/2".
