THE LAST SUPPER - FRAMED WITH MATTE
The pretty image in this canvas transfer was originally painted by Domenico Ghirlandio in 1482. Interestingly, Judas is the only figure on the other side of the table in the painting. Cats, like the one at Judas' side, were commonly used to represent the Devil during the Middle Ages. The original can still be seen in the Convent of San Marco in Florence, Italy. It is displayed in an ornate gold wood frame with an ivory mat. Framed under glass it measures 22" x 18".
