The incredible and moving story of the life of St. Bakhita. Born in a village in Sudan, kidnapped by slavers, often beaten and abused, and later sold to a Venetian merchant, Bakhita then came to Italy and became the nanny servant of Federico Marin's daughter, Aurora, who had lost her mother at birth. Treated as an outcast by the peasants and the other servants due to her black skin and African background, Bakhita remains kind and generous to others. With the help of the kind village priest, she grows closer to God and eventually embraces the Catholic faith.

Película acerca de la vida de St. Josefina Bakhita. Cuando era niña, fue secuestrada por un traficante de esclavos y a pesar de ser marginada, ella era amable y generosa con los demás. Ella se acerca a Dios con la ayuda del sacerdote del pueblo en el que vive y adopta la fe católica.
