MEMENTO MORI T-SHIRT
This Memento Mori T Shirt features an ancient Latin idiom meaning “Remember that you must die.” The saints often kept reminders of death before them so they would live intentionally, die well, and ultimately share eternal happiness with God in heaven.
Originally embraced as a meditation for the Lenten season, Memento Mori is also a fitting reminder for the month of November, especially November 2nd, the Commemoration of All Souls. This time in the Church year calls us to remember those who, though “assured of their eternal salvation,” may still “undergo purification” so they may attain “the holiness necessary to enter the joy of Heaven” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1030).
