Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette in 1858. The front of this sterling silver medal shows St. Bernadette kneeling at our Lady's feet surrounded by the words, "Our Lady of Lourdes pray for us sinners." The back of the medal features Mary's words to St. Bernadette, "I am the Immaculate Conception," and the prayer, "St. Bernadette intercede for us."
