OUR LADY OF THE SMILE
The statue of Our Lady of the Smile was very special in the life of St. Therese of Lisieux. When they were young children, she and her sisters loved this statue and would often smother it with kisses and place flowers and candles in front of it. When Therese was about nine, she was very ill and the whole family was praying a novena to Our Lady of Victory begging for a cure. It was during this time that the statue seemed to come alive and Our Lady appeared to little Therese. Our Lady smiled and Therese was filled with joy and was cured. This replica of that statue is made of resin and measures 9"H.
