PARDON CRUCIFIX WITH CARD
When blessed by a Priest, the pardon crucifix is a beautiful and worthy sacramental that, although no longer mentioned in the new enchiridion, was granted by His Holiness, Pope Pius X in 1905 many indulgences for the living and the souls in Purgatory. On the front of the Crucifix the I.N.R.I is written out in Latin: Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews). On the back of the cross an image of the Sacred Heart and the words "Father, Forgive Them" and "Behold His Heart Which Has So Loved Men." Made of silver-ox metal, measures 2" and includes an explanation of the indulgences.
