• Abide in Jesus: Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. In order to bear fruit that will endure we must “remain” and “abide” in Jesus. As we stay attached we will experience strength, grace and help in our time of need.
• Prayer that Works: There are many varieties of prayer. In this episode Fr. Cedric focuses on the prayer of thanksgiving. God’s will is for us to give thanks in all circumstances. God knows our needs. We will see God at work as we give thanks and praise. Thanksgiving opens a door for God to work.
• God’s First Language: We were redeemed through silence. God’s Word leapt from His throne in the silence of the night. It is in and through silence that we can learn the wisdom of God and sense His will. Don’t be afraid of quiet. Silence is God’s original form of communication and the language of love.
• Silence is Golden: The Catholic church has a rich tradition of solitude and prayer. Learn about the monastics and how you can seek God in the chapel of your own home. God allures us to the desert so He can speak to our heart. Silence is golden because it makes us susceptible to hearing God.
• You Can Hear God’s Voice: God’s voice has been heard all throughout the Scriptures. His voice calls, inspires, guides and instructs. God’s voice is always positive and has our welfare in mind. God’s voice comes to us in many different ways. Attune your mind and listen with the ears of your heart.
