TIFFANY RESURRECTION ANGEL STAINED GLASS
Resurrection Angel, originally designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The Resurrection Angel is a detail of the stunning Resurrection Morning stained glass window prominent in St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Lowell, MA. This picturesque Gothic revival church was built in two phases, with the tower and southerly two bays completed in 1845. The chapel, which houses Tiffany's Resurrection Morning, was built in 1868.
Resurrection Angel captures the essence and purity of a single angel gazing lovingly in an extraordinary expression of beauty and aspiration. The angel's magnificent wings combine varying shades of blue and purple, using light and color to create a reverent and opalescent vision of inspiration. The subtle, multi-colored effects seen in the face, wings, and sky demonstrate the craftsmanship and virtuosity of Tiffany at his best.
Because color and glass are one, this genuine stained glass art will be as colorful and beautiful a century from now as it is today, with no organic materials to degrade over time. As such, the images do not fade. Enjoy a celebration of color and light by displaying the design in a window or in front of a lamp or candle on a desk or table. The play of light changes from the morning light to the rosy glow of sunset. The image comes to life as only stained glass can. Comes boxed with a chain for hanging and an acrylic stand for tabletop display.
