ST. BENEDICT STAINED OAK CRUCIFIX
In the mid-1600's, devotion spread to the Cross of St. Benedict, and a medal was made to honor him, because he was considered a secure defense against the tricks of Satan. The honor of being featured on the medal was conferred to him because of the miracles of the cross in his hands. This wall crucifix is made of walnut-stained oak. The corpus and medal are silver-plated. Measures 8".
