This nicely detailed pewter medal measures 1 1/8” and comes on an 18” stainless steel chain with clasp. It is packaged with an embossed pamphlet that contains information about St. Clare and a prayer.
- Saint Clare was beautiful, rich, and had a number of suitors. On the night of Palm Sunday, Clare left her palace home, wearing her finest clothes. She met Saint Francis of Assisi, who gave her the veil of religious profession.
- She founded the Order of Poor Ladies of San Damiano and wrote their rule of life, which strictly adhered to Franciscan rules.
- Her feast day is August 11th.
- St. Clare is the patron saint of Eye disease, Laundry workers, Goldsmiths, and Television Writers.
