ST. JOSEPH PATRON OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH DIPTYCH
This beautiful, glossy wood, arched diptych features the original artwork of Giuseppe Rollini on the left and a prayer on the right. The prayer reads:
"Glorious Patriarch Saint Joseph, whose power makes the impossible possible, come to my aid in these times of anguish and difficulty. Take under your protection the serious and troubling situations that I commend to you, that they may have a happy outcome.
My beloved father, all my trust is in you. Let it not be said that I invoked you in vain, and since you can do everything with Jesus and Mary, show me that your goodness is as great as your power.
St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, pray for us! Amen."
Measures 6" x 8" when open.
Made in the USA.The original image is in a side altar in the Sacred Heart Church in Rome. Surrounded by Angels watching in great reverence and saying, "Go to Joseph" (Ite ad Joseph), St. Joseph is pictured holding the child Jesus with the humble handmaid Mary by his side. While Joseph holds a lily to symbolize his great purity in one hand, his other hand extends in blessing over a miniature church building which is presented to him by an Angel and represents his patronage over the Universal Church. As Jesus was entrusted to Joseph, through Mary, for protection, leadership, and provision, so, too, is the Church, "the Body of Christ," entrusted to St. Joseph's heavenly intercession and aid.
