ST. LUKE BRONZE STATUE - 8 INCH
St. Luke was a faithful assistant to the Apostle St. Paul and attended to him for much of his travels. One of the four Gospels is attributed to St. Luke as well as the Acts of the Apostles. A talented physician, he is also said to have been very skillful in painting and it is recorded that he left behind many pictures of Christ and the Blessed Virgin as dipicted in this statue by the image he is holding. The winged ox is the symbolic representation assigned to him by the early Fathers (Ezekiel 1:10). This beautifully detailed statue is made of cold-cast bronze with lightly hand-painted accents and measures 8 1/2"H.
