This nicely detailed pewter medal measures 1 1/8” and comes on an 18” stainless steel chain with clasp. It is packaged with an embossed pamphlet that contains information about St. Rose and a prayer.
- Born in South America, Rose was dedicated to her religion. Choosing not to use her beauty to her advantage, she worked in embroidery and gardening to help support her family and other poor people around them.
- She rejected her parents' attempts to force her to marry, and instead Rose spent the rest of her life living as a recluse before joining the Third Order of St. Dominic. She was the first person to born in the Americas to be canonized.
- Her feast day is August 23rd.
- St. Rose is the patron saint of Embroiderers, Florists, Gardeners, people ridiculed for their piety, and against vanity.
