ST. TERESA OF AVILA STATUE - 8 1/2"
Blessed with a compassionate heart, St. Teresa of Avila spent her life ministering to the poor and sick in search of understanding and reconciliation. This statue is an excellent reminder of her life and work. St. Teresa of Avila dons the habit of the Discalced Carmelites – a brown habit, cream-colored cape, and black veil. She is holding a book and quill, the left page reads “It is love one that gives worth to all things” and the right page “Pain is never permanent”. There is a St. Teresa name plate just above a burgundy base. Measures approximately 3”W x 8½”H x 3”D. Made of a plaster resin mix.
These unique statues are made in Colombia. Each one is individually hand-painted by talented women who are either widows, single mothers, or those who are sole providers for their families. Slight color and design variations may occur.
