This pack of 100 paper holy cards features an picture of an icon of Mary, Salus Populi Romani, which is found in the ancient basilica of St. Mary Major, in Rome. On the back of each card is the Sub Tuum Praesidium - the oldest preserved hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary in existence. The prayer reads, "We turn to you for protection, Holy Mother of God. Listen to our prayers and help us in our needs. Save us from every danger, Glorious and Blessed Virgin. Amen." Paper holy cards measure 4 3/16" H x 2 3/8" W and are trimed in a colorful filigree and gold foil border.
