He is the Theologian of the Pontifical Household, having served during the pontificates of Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and now under Pope Leo XIV. Fr. Giertych is also a consultor of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, a consultor of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, and a member of the Pontifical Committee for Eucharistic Congresses, the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the Pontifical Academy of Theology.
