VERONICA'S VEIL PLAQUE
This is a large ceramic mold of Veronica's Veil. The cloth piously believed to have been used to wipe the face of Christ on the way to Calvary and is one of the major relics preserved at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. This large, hand-painted piece measures approximately 11"W x 16”H.
These unique plaques are made in Colombia. Each one is individually hand-painted by talented women who are either widows, single mothers, or those who are sole providers for their families. Slight color and design variations may occur.
